I first met Kat when she was a bridesmaid at a previous wedding a few years back and today, it was role reversal for bride and bridesmaid so not only did I get to shoot another lovely wedding but also got to catch up with a previous bride and groom, so a lovely day all round!
Kat and Jamie were actually already married, having tied the knot a few weeks prior in there home city of Vancouver, Canada. They’d then flown ‘home’ to England to celebrate again – and why not – with their families who we’re still living this side of the pond.
As such, it was an incredibly relaxed and chilled out day. Just the way I like it!
The morning was spent casually getting ready and greeting a steady stream of guests as they arrived for the celebrations. Plenty of fizz was had which put everyone in the right mood for a great party.
Once everyone was ready, there was a very informal ceremony had, conducted by a friend of the family to add a personal touch to proceedings. After that, it was more of the same from the morning, outside, having fun, relaxing, laughing and drinking. What more do you want!?
Once the speeches were done and the wedding breakfast taken care of, it was onto the evening where their friends band took good care of making sure it was a packed dance floor all the way through the night.

Stratton Court Barn
Stratton Court Barn was originally built in 1872 as an additional storage area to a farm already in place, It was initially used to house livestock and tractors and was still utilised for this right up until it was purhased by Chris and Cathy Wigmore in 1996. The Cotswolds venue then took on a completely new life.
Initially built as a corporate meeting place and conference area, it wasn’t until 2014 that its potential as a wedding venue was realised. Work was then undertaken to convert the venue from the corporate facilities it already had, into the more warm and welcoming environment for a wedding. Since then, there have been various extensions, refurbishments and additions to the venue to make it into the warm and welcoming farm venue you find today.
