Being a wedding photographer means you travel to some amazing places and you get to see some incredibly beautiful venues, but not all wedding venues are created equal. When I went to visit West Mill at Darley Abbey I knew it was something special and I couldn’t wait for Emma and Martin’s day to arrive in order to get the chance to photograph them there. I’m happy to say, it really didn’t disappoint!
Emma and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready in a beautiful little cottage not too far from the venue, before heading to West Mill where Emma was to get married to the man of her dreams.
Despite the rain coming out to play (but hey, it’s meant to be good luck on your wedding day, right?!) the spirits weren’t dampened and the excitement and joy continued for the rest of the day. I always think one of the signs of a great wedding is one where the dance floor is full all night, and once the band started playing the guests were straight up for a boogie, ensuring a brilliant and fun end to what was such a great day for Emma, Martin and their friends and family.
